At St Leonard's Church hall we held our Summer Lunch for people who either live alone, are lonely or isolated in some way. This church project is funded by the Axe and Compass alongside the Heath and Reach Allotment Committee. We had very generous donations of bingo prizes from Little Emm's, Heath Inn, Dukes, The Co-op and Finishing Touch.
A huge thank you to all of our supporters for helping with this community event which was enjoyed by all who attended. Brother Bede, a.k.a. Senior Warden, prepared a fantastic Summer meal and our very talented musician, Laurie Swaddling played the piano for a sing along. The bingo game is always a bit of a laugh and seems to go on forever but all in the name of fun.
Thanks to Elisha, Harry, Amy and Becca for serving the food and generally offering hospitality so well.
If you know of anyone who may fall into the category of living alone, or lonely, or isolated please do let us know. We wish to reach as many people as possible and certainly would never wish to miss an opportunity to offer an invite.
Such a joy to see the whole community of Heath and Reach getting together like this and supporting our efforts. Thanks everyone.
